Summary:

We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Electrical Engineering Intern at our Cudahy, WI plant located approximately 5 miles south of Milwaukee. As an intern at ATI Cudahy Operations, you will get to learn from an experienced and knowledgeable group of professionals in a unique environment, gaining priceless experience in the materials science industry.

Essential Functions:



  • Work with a group of Electrical Engineers, Designers, and Drafters, who will provide task assignments and mentorship
  • Learn how to meet functional requirements while living up to Departmental Values, and Meeting ATI and Departmental Goals.
  • Learn how to work with engineers, designers, and drafts-people to help make certain that design layouts are carried out utilizing the principles of electrical engineering as applied to substations, power distributions, lighting, induction heating, individual machine power and control circuitry, communications systems, or any other electrical installations. Areas of concentration will include but are not limited to:

    • How to work from layouts, instructions, specifications or any other requirements.
    • Being accurate in mathematical computations, and functional correctness of designs.


  • Help ensures creation of assembly, detailed drawings, and preparation of bills of material; as well as development of specification sheets, procedures, instructions, and other technical data.
  • Assist in documentation and archiving on electrical/controls prints
  • Gain familiarity working directly with outside contractors to procure quotations, plan and execute implementation, startup, and commissioning of projects.
  • Build resources to assist Maintenance on repair of electrical systems on a routine and emergency basis.


Qualifications:



  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Related Field
  • Sophomore or above
  • 3.0 Minimum GPA
