Senior Program Manager, Major Capital Equipment Global Capacity Delivery

Job Summary

Under Global MCE leadership, the MCE Capacity Program Manager manages significant MCE capacity across multiple and complex categories for Major Capital Equipment MCE), with cross-functional and regionally diverse scope. Accountable for building and creating the capacity planning and translating and enabling the consumption of MCE capacity across global xScale Retail portfolios in close alignment with leadership.

Equinix Inc. is seeking a strategic, data-driven Senior Capacity Program Manager to oversee End-to-End MCE capacity and inventory strategy, logistics, and quality control across our global data centers. Reporting to the Procurement Department, this role is critical in ensuring Infrastructure Capacity Delivery Programs including inventory meets operational demands efficiently and cost-effectively. The Senior Capacity Program Manager will drive process improvements, optimize stock levels, and enhance supplier performance through quality and logistics strategies.

Responsibilities

Strategic Capacity and Inventory Planning and Quality Control


  • Develop and execute an inventory management strategy that aligns with Equinix's operational and growth objectives. Implement quality control practices and logistics improvements to ensure high standards for stock availability, accuracy, and reliability



Supplier Relationship Management and Performance Metrics


  • Build strategic partnerships with suppliers, establishing performance metrics to monitor quality, delivery times, and reliability specific to Capacity Delivery and Inventory. Implement continuous improvement initiatives and backup sourcing strategies to maintain supply chain resilience



Change Management and Continuous Improvement Leadership


  • Oversee changes to Equipment Infrastructure including upgrades and EOL. Coordinate with cross functional teams to minimize disruptions during change implementation



Data-Driven Capacity and Inventory Insights and Reporting


  • Utilize analytics tools to drive decision-making, delivering insights on inventory levels, demand forecasting, and logistics efficiency. Develop dashboards and reporting structures to provide real-time visibility into inventory metrics including benchmarking and market data comparison for key executive level stakeholders



Cross-functional Collaboration and Process Integration


  • Collaborate closely with procurement, operations, finance, and IT to integrate inventory processes across departments. Lead process improvements in logistics and quality, focusing on automation and streamlined workflows



Risk Management and Compliance


  • Implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard against supply chain disruptions, aligning practices with regulatory standards and company policies for procurement, logistics, and inventory



Capacity Agreement Negotiation


  • Support and program manage development of strategic capacity agreements across all MCE categories with multiple vendors, to define capacity, liabilities, cashflow, manufacturing milestones and portfolio consumption strategies



Continuous Improvement Leadership


  • Identify and implement process optimizations within inventory management, leveraging best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and quality in logistics and stock management



Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) preferred

  • Extensive experience in capacity and inventory management for large/high complexity categories, logistics, or supply chain within high-demand, high-precision environments such as data centers or technology infrastructure

  • Preferable experience in data center, mission critical, industrial, high tech industries

  • Proven ability to drive quality and logistics improvements, supplier performance, and inventory optimization

  • Proficiency in data analysis, forecasting, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Power BI) to support data-driven decisions

  • Expert level financial background, expert in excel, presentation and executive level comms

  • Strong leadership and project management skills with a track record of cross-functional collaboration

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting strategic insights and complex data to executive stakeholders

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization
