The Director of People Operations and Total Rewards will lead Bitsight's efforts in crafting and executing a best-in-class people operations and total rewards strategy. This role will oversee a global team and will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive compensation, benefits, and rewards programs that attract, motivate, and retain top talent. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will be a key driver in fostering a high-performance culture while ensuring our people strategies align with Bitsight's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Total Rewards Strategy:

    • Develop and execute a strategic total rewards plan to align with Bitsight's business goals, culture, and values.

    • Oversee the design, implementation, and management of compensation structures, incentive programs, equity plans, and global benefits packages.

    • Continuously evaluate market data and trends to ensure our total rewards strategy remains competitive in attracting and retaining top talent globally.

  • Compensation & Benefits:

    • Lead global compensation planning, salary benchmarking, and market analysis to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.

    • Oversee the design and administration of comprehensive benefits programs, including health, wellness, retirement, and other perks that meet the diverse needs of a global workforce.

    • Manage vendor relationships and oversee contract negotiations to optimize benefit offerings and control costs.

  • Equity Program Administration:

    • Administer and manage all aspects of our global equity compensation programs, including stock options and restricted stock units (RSUs).

    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of equity transactions, including grants, exercises, vesting, terminations, annual tax filings, FMV updates, etc

    • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless execution of equity programs.

  • People Operations Management:

    • Drive operational excellence across all people operations functions, including onboarding, payroll, HRIS management, and employee data governance.

    • Develop and implement scalable processes to support the growth of Bitsight, ensuring a seamless employee experience.

    • Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance HR technology solutions that streamline workflows and improve data analytics capabilities.

  • Global Team Leadership:

    • Lead and mentor a global team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.

    • Build and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching, guidance, and professional development opportunities.

    • Collaborate with regional HR leaders to tailor people operations and total rewards programs that align with local regulations and cultural nuances.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making:

    • Leverage HR analytics to inform and improve people operations processes, compensation, and total rewards strategies.

    • Provide regular reporting and insights on key metrics, trends, and ROI of total rewards programs to senior leadership.

    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices in compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., CCP, CBP, PHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred.

  • 10-15 years of experience in people operations, compensation, benefits, and/or total rewards, with a strong understanding of both U.S. and international markets.

  • Proven experience managing a global team and implementing scalable, inclusive people operations processes.

  • Expertise in compensation structure design, market benchmarking, and benefits program management.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data for informed decision-making.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with a track record of successful collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with the ability to build programs that reflect these values.

  • Proficiency in equity management software and HRIS systems (Carta & Workday experience preferred).

This position may be considered a promotional opportunity pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is US$165,000 to $185,000 annually for US-based employees. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, is based on a full-time work schedule, and is Bitsight's good faith estimate as of the date of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for participation in a bonus or commission plan and an equity grant. Bitsight also offers a competitive benefits package, including but not but limited to medical, dental, and vision insurance; paid parental leave; flexible time off; a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities; life and disability insurance; and tuition reimbursement.
