The Position Job TitleMortgage Letter Vendor Liaison Job Description

SUMMARY

As a valued leader on our team, you will manage building, developing, and designing functionality for a product, as well as manage ongoing implementation, enhancement, or maintenance of existing products. The selected candidate will be expected to deliver on responsibilities in support multiple areas across the business and related strategic objectives to include Customer Service and Collections, Loss Mitigation, Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, Property Preservation, REO, Claims, Vendor Partners, Policies and Procedures, Vendors and Offshore Vendor Staff.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

The Letter Vendor Liaison role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver the following responsibilities:

  • Lead implementation of new investor/insurer, regulatory requirements with Vendors aimed at improving customer experience and efficiency
  • Manage the team's efforts on the implementation, enhancement, or maintenance around investor/ insurer/ regulatory servicing requirements.
  • Manage staff and Vendor Partner, including but not limited to participating in, training, performance reviews, assigning and prioritizing duties.
  • Develop and maintain company policy and procedures, focusing on compliance and risk management for the Organizations' Servicing Groups.
  • Define Vendor strategy that is in alignment with business objectives.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES

  • Perform other duties as requested by Executive Management or Supervisor.
  • Exceptional Customer Service.
  • Complete all required compliance exams on a yearly basis.
  • Adherence to all First United Policies and Procedures.
  • Dresses professionally.

EMPLOYEE SPECIFICATIONS

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • High School or Equivalent (GED), Required
  • Financial services/operations environment, 4+ Years
  • Mortgage/Default, 2+ Years require

Technical/Functional Competencies

  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of MSP (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of corporate policy, laws and regulatory requirements of area of responsibility.
  • Ability to work in team environment to resolve problems
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrates good judgment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to use e-mail, phone, and other communication tools are necessary.
  • Willingness to accept additional responsibilities
  • Dependable and adheres to timelines and schedules.
  • Takes initiative in development and completion of projects.
  • Able to travel
