Overview

We are proactively recruiting at this time for openings expected in the future for our Adjunct Pool. The Graduate School of Business and Leadership at National Louis University seeks qualified professionals for adjunct teaching positions in Business/Data Analytics to teach in the new MS Business Data Analytics program and across other graduate business programs.


Adjunct faculty will be teaching courses
like:

    Big Data Management and Databases
  • Statistics for Business Data Analytics, etc.

The Master of Science in Business Data Analytics (MSBDA) program supports students in cultivating their leadership abilities by teaching traditional strategies alongside customized techniques tailored to their strengths. The MSBDA seeks adjunct faculty who embody the program's grounding in experiential education for adult learners. The MSBDA is committed to expanding access for those who have historically encountered barriers due to geography, marginality, or economic status. Our strength comes from a diverse student body, faculty, and staff.

Availability:

Starting Winter Term, January 2025 and beyond

  • Candidates must be available to work at the Chicago Campus
  • Candidates must be available for Hybrid Low Residency courses during week 1, then move to online for the remaining weeks. Courses are offered on Saturday (9:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.) and Sunday (9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.)


Essential Responsibilities

We are looking for a collaborative, dedicated, and student-centered colleague who will help us live this mission, particularly in the following ways:

Teaching

  • Delivery of master's level courses in Business Data Analytics, Research Methods, and/or other program courses as needed through online and campus-based formats

Passion for Student Success

  • Contributions to continuous improvement of student outcomes in engagement, retention, graduation, and career advancement.
  • Active involvement in the programs, tools, and events that enable students to learn and experience more about the field while pursuing their degree.


Qualifications

  • Required terminal degree in business or related field with specialization in business or data analytics.
    • Masters Degree or above
  • Analytics-industry experience
  • Candidates will have strong modeling, quantitative, and data management skills and professional experience or related research in business data analytics.
  • Successful candidates with applied knowledge with SQL, Excel, R Studio, Tableau, etc.
  • At least 5+ years of full-time professional practice experience in administrative, managerial, and/or executive positions engaged with analytics in decision-making.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate effective experience both in teaching and in practice, with a minimum of a record of:
    • Experience teaching adult learners using experiential and active teaching methods
    • Effective teaching in online and hybrid/blended format
    • Effective teaching in higher education
    • Successful use of technology in teaching and course development
  • Professionalism in and demonstrated commitment to working with diverse populations
  • Commitment to student success, student professional growth, and effective professional advising.
  • Appropriate professional memberships
