Admissions Job Description
The Office of Admissions is looking for a fun, energetic and detail-oriented Admissions Events Manager to join our Events Team. Our Events Team is responsible for coordinating events to welcome prospective students, families and high school counselors to Mizzou and inform them about the college process. We highlight the best that campus has to offer and work closely in a team environment with Admissions staff, faculty, departments, Mizzou alumni and other campus stakeholders. The Admissions Events Manager position has the primary responsibility of coordinating Mizzou student recruitment events both on and off campus, ranging from 20-800 people. This position will attend all in-state and some out-of-state events with some overnight travel. Coordination responsibilities include working with venues, outside vendors and transportation. In addition, they will provide marketing support and coordinate production of invitations, programs, presentations and other visual materials as necessary for their events. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office is preferred. This position also supports Mizzou's academic units with the high-level planning of their student recruitment events and admitted student days. Establishing and maintaining collaborative partnerships with university departments and external relationships, including high schools, hotels and corporate offices, catering companies, alumni and non-profit organizations will be required. This position reports to the Associate Director of Admissions and shares in the management of Admissions support services and assists with interviewing, hiring and training of student staff and interns. They will also contribute to long-term planning regarding student recruitment processes, communications and the recruitment event calendar. A valid driver's license and the ability to lift 50 pounds is required. Extensive evening and weekend hours are necessary and limited overnight travel is required. Shift

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications
Two or more years of experience in recruiting, marketing or other highly interactive promotional field is required. Initiative, creativity, and the ability to work in a flexible environment preferred. Strong attention to detail is crucial for this position. Anticipated Hiring Range
