The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

Reporting to the CUIMC Associate Director, the Payroll Analyst I will be responsible for end-to-end processing of hiring documents, subsequent personnel, and payroll transactions. Includes reviewing of transactions for completeness, accuracy and conformity with union, university and governmental policy and regulations; investigates and resolves routine payroll issues and interact with schools, departments, CUIMC HR, Office of Faculty Affairs and HRPC for resolution.

Responsibilities




  • End to end payroll processing



  • Enter TBH new hires for Central officers and faculty



  • Review all transactions processed by the Schools and departments for approvals, supporting documentation, completeness and accuracy for the Academic officers, officers of administrations, biweekly support staff and weekly staff



  • Assist with the data entry, tracking and review of Ad Comp



  • Assist with Service Now requests for stop payments, pay corrections & recovery



  • Assist with month & year-end processing



  • Dealing with payroll queries from employees



  • Assist with copying, bursting, and electronic submission of payroll transactions



  • Perform other duties or special projects as required or assigned




Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, training and experience
  • Must have the ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills required along with superior customer service skills.
  • Word processing, spreadsheets, and database (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality is required ensuring the utmost discretion in all matters is maintained


Preferred Qualifications



  • Two years of related experience
  • Must have a strong interest in payroll transaction and supporting a busy office.
  • Preferred experience with HR software, i.e., HRMS such as PeopleSoft
