Assembler II

PURPOSE/SUMMARY

The Assembler II is responsible for assembling high quality medical devices according to established quality and manufacturing processes and procedures.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Assemble, inspect, and test medical devices according to manufacturing process.

* Follow work instructions provided by Leads and Supervisors on priorities, work schedules, and special assignments.

* Work on one or multiple product lines as directed.

* Accurately record information on device history records per good documentation process.

* Expand knowledge through cross-training on multiple product lines as directed by Leads and Supervisors.

* Proactively incorporate LEAN principles to help improve established metrics.

* Informs Assembler Lead or Supervisor of material shortages.

* Perform quality checks on products for defects.

* Verify the accuracy of components before assembly.

* Operate manufacturing and measurement equipment such as microscopes, test equipment, EFDs, ultrasonic welders, induction welders, soldering irons, dia callipers, pressure gages, and rulers when applicable.

* Maintain a safe work environment by following and practicing good housekeeping and safety guidelines/policies.

* Maintains confidentiality of documents and processes.

* All Other Essential Duties as directed.

Quals--

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

* High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

* Minimum 2 years of previous medical device or related assembly experience.

Skills:

*Ability to adapt to changes in procedures and able to learn new procedures due to product line and technology modifications.

* Ability to understand verbal and written work instructions in English.

* Ability to use basic mathematical skills as required to perform job duties. (Add, subtract, multiply, divide).

* Must be able to work in a clean room environment and follow the clean room environment practices and procedures.

* Must be able to perform repetitive work according to set procedures, sequence, and pace.

* Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices, Good Manufacturing Processes, and Lean Manufacturing preferred.

* Must have fine motor skills and high degree of dexterity and eye coordination to work with and assemble small parts and subassemblies using both hands.

* Must be able to effectively operate manufacturing and measurement equipment.

* Basic understanding of Microsoft Office tools, Word, Outlook, Teams MS Windows skills, and site specific PC programs as required to perform job duties.

Other Considerations (travel/hours availability, etc.):

* Monday -Thursday, 10 hours per day.

* Working overtime on Fridays and work on weekends on occasion as required by the business.

* Work in a clean room
