The Department of Pathology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Responsibilities include assisting the Medical Director with clinical, teaching, and research activities of the division. The laboratory serves as the molecular diagnostic lab for Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the centralized molecular lab for esoteric molecular diagnostic testing for Northwestern Medicine Healthcare and its 11 hospitals. The successful applicant will have a demonstrated history of excellence in clinical molecular diagnostics and clinical, translational, or laboratory-based research. The division works closely with others in the department, including cytogenetics, bioinformatics, hematopathology, surgical pathology, and neuropathology. There will be resources and opportunities for development and expansion of research interests within the Diagnostic Molecular Pathology and Cytogenetics laboratories, and in the NuSeq Core in the Center for Genetic Medicine. Coordination of research efforts across these laboratories to support oncology and other clinical groups will be essential to the success of the Division as we strive to lead the nation in the era of personalized medicine. There will also be many opportunities for mentoring and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as for service on department, school, or university committees.

Qualified candidates will hold a DO, MD or MD/PhD and board certification or eligibility in Pathology (AP or AP/CP) and Molecular Genetic Pathology. Rank and remuneration determined by qualification and experience.
