Carnegie Mellon University: School of Computer Science: HCII Location Pittsburgh, PA Open Date Nov 25, 2024 Deadline Jan 03, 2025 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time Description This position will be responsible for mentoring up to seven students in a particular role (Product Manager, Project Manager, Developer, Researcher, Designer) on the Master of Educational Technology and Applied Learning Sciences (METALS) capstone team. You will be responsible for meeting your role group at least twice a month Wednesdays from 6-7 pm EST, starting January 2025 until mid-August 2025. These meetings will be used for community building and imparting skills, tools and techniques, or mindsets necessary to succeed in the role both in the capstone project and beyond using appropriate pedagogy such as lecturing, workshops or peer reviews. The successful candidate must be intimately familiar with the METALS program, its learning objectives and goals, the capstone course and project and should come with a curriculum plan for the role which they are applying for. Qualifications MS in Learning Science and Educational Technology * 2 or more years industry experience as a learning engineer, learning scientist, project manager, product manager, user experience designer, or learning experience designer. * Experience with the METALS program strongly preferred.
