Continuous Quality Improvement Supervisor

The University of Pittsburgh's Child Welfare Resource Center is seeking a Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Supervisor to join the Statewide Quality Improvement Department. The CQI Supervisor will:

  • Manage and support Statewide coordination and implementation of the federal Child and Family Services Reviews (CFSRs).
  • Support staff acting as reviewers in the CFSR case review process; as well as oversee the quality assurance process associated with those reviews.
  • Provide direct supervision to multiple staff members responsible for conducting CFSR case reviews and quality assurance processes.
  • Oversee and coordinate StatewideCQIefforts including training, transfer of learning and technical assistance provided to community partners to support implementation and monitoring related to state and federal practice, programs and initiatives specific to CFSR case reviews.
  • Work closely with internal partners and external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes using a data informed approach.
  • Work collaboratively with PA Department of Human Services and other community partners across the state to support Statewide CQI efforts.
  • Partner with CQI unit and other CWRC Departments to Support statewide Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) efforts to improve and strengthen child, family and system outcomes through a CQI framework.
  • Function as a team member of the Statewide Quality Improvement Department for the Pennsylvania Child Welfare Resource Center (Resource Center), and the Resource Center Management Team.

Master's degree in social work or closely related field required. Excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, analytic skills, writing skills, customer service skills, management skills, collaborations skills, and facilitation skills are required. The incumbent must have knowledge of Child Welfare Best Practice, program evaluation, Continuous Quality Improvement process, and project management.Minimum of five years' experience in child welfare and/or related human service field. A minimum of two years providing direct supervision preferred

The Child Welfare Resource Center operates in a hybrid work approach where work can be completed remotely, in the Mechanicsburg office, and in the field as necessary and appropriate. Time for this position is estimated as 80% remote work, 10% in the Mechanicsburg office, and 10% in the field. Must be able to travel frequently statewide throughout the Commonwealth, regionally, and locally. PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check will be required as a condition of employment. Experience working with ethnically and culturally diverse populations preferred. A commitment to achieving equity and inclusion in the child welfare system is a must. Job Summary

Assesses student needs and establishes policies and strategies to meet overarching classroom development. Implements effective programming and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders on requirements and developments. Supervises team and provides organizational research, assessments, and evaluations. Prepares reports and adheres to budgetary and timely restrictions in project development.


Essential Functions

Must be able to operate computers and other office equipment; communicate effectively with management contacts as well as internal and external contacts; perform under pressure of numerous deadlines; perform multiple job tasks and projects. A valid driver's license or the ability to travel to perform the essential functions is required.


Physical Effort

Typical field travel required will be statewide throughout the Commonwealth on a frequent basis, lift up to 30 pounds, set up and prepare audiovisual equipment for meetings and presentations.
