Job Summary

  • Technical Skills/Knowledge/Supervision
  • Coordinates, plans, organizes, and monitors the work of the laboratory.
  • Documents results and applicable information.
  • Assures adequate training of staff and staffing levels.
  • Maintains quality control and calibration functions.
  • Maintains work area.
  • Performs and/or gives supervision for laboratory collection and processing procedures.
  • Assists manager with the budget.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree from a four (4) year MT or HTL program approved a National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent.
  • Must meet the minimum requirements of the Clinical Laboratory Act of 1988.

Experience

  • 5 years of experience as MT/MLS/CLS/HTL

(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)

Licensure/Certification/Registration/Professional Designation

  • Registered MT (ASCP/AMT) or HTL (ASCP/AMT) or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Requires organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage personnel and deal with controversial issues in a professional manner.

Compensation/Benefits

  • $31.31-$51.14/hr depending on previous work experience.
