(Temporary) Laboratory Technician - Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Cell Biology

The Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Cell Biology is currently accepting applications for a Temporary Laboratory Technician. This position will work in Dr. Tracy Liu's laboratory in the afternoons to support research on tumor-immune interactions, with a focus on immunotherapy and imaging.

What You'll Do

• Maintaining the organization and inventory of the lab,
• Performing genotyping
• Processing and reconciling invoices to ensure accurate records

Pay Grade: 10

Length of Assignment: Approximately 8.5 months

Work Hours: Varies - afternoon 12:00-4:00

• Associate's degree.
• Preferred experience involving:
  
  
  
  • Basic wet lab techniques such as PCR, cell culture, pipetting, and preparing reagents is an asset but not required.
  
  
  
  
• Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.
• All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.

• A keen attention to detail
• Self-motivation, and the ability to multitask effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
