Job Summary

Develop, oversee, and coordinate Campus Services operational initiatives aimed at improving and maintaining sustainability efforts. Provide consultation and support on construction projects in the Campus Services Division.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Analyze, track and maintain data related to the performance of sustainability initiates and serve as subject matter expert and provide technical assistance to business units and functional areas in identifying and implementing sustainability polices, practices

Job Duty 2 -
Evaluate and benchmark utility performance of campus service buildings and track progress and report on relevant campus wide sustainability goal.

Job Duty 3 -
Identify, advocate, prioritize and manage implementation of sustainable projects in support of campus services and the institute sustainability goals.

Job Duty 4 -
Analyze and report return on investment for sustainable investments related to campus projects and serve as liaison for campus services to the Georgia Tech office of sustainability and regional and national sustainability organizations

Job Duty 5 -
Develop innovative sustainability projects that highlight campus services commitments to sustainability

Job Duty 6 -
Provide capital project support in developing project outcomes that align with sustainability goals and provide optimal financial payback.

Job Duty 7 -
Support and implement strategic plans which serve to provide direction towards long term goals in sustainability.

Job Duty 8 -
Provide regular reports on key performance indicators for sustainability projects and programs.

Job Duty 9 -
Engage with internal and external committees as a representative of campus services to promote campus wide progress on sustainability

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Master's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Required Qualifications
Creativity and articulation needed to inspire vision. Inclination to seek and analyze data from a variety of sources to support decisions and to align others with the institute's overall strategy. Entrepreneurial and creative approach to developing new, innovative ideas that will stretch the organization and push the boundaries within the industry. Establishing clear and challenging goals while committing the organization to improved performance; Minimizing ambiguity and uncertainty while enabling growth and accommodating a rapid pace of change

Five years of job related experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
This job requires Technical writing, communication, Energy Cost share Assistance program (CAP), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Portfolio Manager, Controls software Wiscape, report preparation and budget development, and ability to use office/specialized computer applications. Functional knowledge of industry standard and key sustainability value levers including but not limited for environmental stewardship, resource efficiency, organizational transparency, green building and community engagement.
