Airgas Dry Ice is the largest wholesale dry ice distributor to grocery stores in the United States. Penguin Brand Dry Ice is the retail dry ice sales program of Airgas Dry Ice. We serve over 4,000 grocery stores on a direct store delivery basis coast to coast.

The Branch Dispatcher will be a key component in the relationship between the transportation and production departments on site.

We are looking for the right individual to fill a base schedule of Fri Through Mon 7am to 5pm & available to fill in mid week when needed. Pay rate starts at $55k+ based on experience.
  • Ability to work Friday through Monday is required and some weekday shifts as business needs arise.
  • Managing up to 15 drivers.
  • Work hand in hand with our production team to insure a balanced business partnership.
  • Assign Drivers to trucks, determine driver routes, destinations, and timelines for the transporting of freight to an assigned destination
  • Aid in driver training of DOT compliance and regulations as well as company rules and processes.
  • Provide customer billing and credits when needed.
  • Maintains customers updated on delivery status of loads and aid in providing tender
  • Maintain communication to outside carriers when needed.
  • Tracks drivers and other necessary information electronically
  • Provide support to drivers as needed
  • Aid with ordering/coordinating regular maintenance of trucks with shop
  • Monitoring Hours of Service
  • Hands on Control of the loading/unloading of freight insuring SOP & Safety processes are met
  • Aid in ensuring shipping lanes are turning for our production team continues to flow with floor space demands
  • Other duties as assigned

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Proven experience in transportation dispatching or a related field is preferred.

Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in transportation management software and other related programs.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Strong problem - solving tasks and decision-making abilities.

Forklift experience or willingness to gain experience is a must have

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
