Position Summary The University of New Mexico (UNM), College of Nursing (CON) invites applications to serve as the Assistant Dean of Professional Graduate Programs. The Assistant Dean's primary responsibility is providing visionary leadership in planning, implementing and evaluating professional graduate academic programs, which anticipate nursing workforce needs in a dynamic health care environment. Serve as a key member of the College's Administrative leadership team. This includes providing strategic leadership to develop a future vision of the College to enhance current and emerging programs and the stewardship of resources, personnel, and collaboration within the CON, UNM, and across the state. Authority and responsibility for administration of the professional graduate programs to include but not limited to budget management, workload assignments, management and supervision of faculty and staff, development and enforcement of policies, meeting regulatory and accreditation requirements, teaching, and development and implementation of curriculum. This is a leadership position, which includes active leadership in academic affairs; commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, inter-professional and community engagement. This position provides a vital role in the development of research, scholarship, and clinical programs at the graduate levels, as well as facilitate a culture of effective mentorship. The University of New Mexico College of Nursing The University Of New Mexico College of Nursing, located in Albuquerque, NM, ranks in the top 15% of nursing programs in the country. With over 1,000 enrolled students, the college offers pre- and post-licensure baccalaureate, master's, post-master's, and doctoral programs. Program offerings include the state's premiere Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs; master's and post-master's programs across seven concentrations for APRNs, nurse educators, and nurse administrators; and the New Mexico Nurse Education Consortium baccalaureate curriculum.
