Guardian Industries is seeking you to become our next Production Supervisor (2nd Shift) in Galax, VA! In this role you will identify strategic opportunities for improvements within the process/department you supervise and be accountable for achieving cost, schedule and productivity metrics. You will lead safety, culture and operational effectiveness using lean manufacturing tactics with a focus on production efficiency in addition to mentoring and developing your employees. What You Will Do * Manage the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing process to assure that safety, quality, culture and productivity are maximized * Ensure timely and effective communication of key issues to all staff * Drive the organization to focus on continuous improvement * Plan, direct, and coordinate the manufacturing of products in compliance with company goals and objectives * Establish and control conditions of production including quality and maintenance in order to satisfy customer and quality specifications * Organize and direct workflow for satisfying production requirements in a cost-efficient manner * Develop and implement the cost-effective alternatives and improvements to production process * Maximize the efficiency of production lines and ensuring effective employment utilization Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Experience leading a team in a workplace setting * Experience in a manufacturing environment * Ability to work 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) What Will Put You Ahead * Experience in lean manufacturing * Understanding of ISO Quality Standards * Bachelor's Degree At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
