Director Quality Assurance/Quality Control Overview: Job responsibilities of the Director Quality Assurance/Quality Control include but are not limited to managing, directing and supervising the activities of the QC Inspectors; authorizing the Sun Country Airlines' Required Inspection Items (RII) and Receiving Inspection authorized designees; responsible for establishing and modifying policies, procedures, instructions and information for the Required Inspection Item (RII) and Receiving Inspection process. All QA related duties, responsibilities, policies and procedures of MRO site representative responsibilities are administrated by this position. QA; ensuring the accomplishment of audits and monitoring of related follow-up actions of internal and external maintenance operations; participating in the selection and approval process of vendors for performing outside service work - aircraft, engines and components; responsible for establishing and modifying policies, procedures, instructions and information for the QA auditing process; other duties as assigned. The qualifications we are looking for in the Director Quality Control and Quality Assurance:
Preferred Skills: College degree and/or 5 years related quality control supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
