Description
Summary / Position Purpose: The Business Development Representative will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. The ideal candidate must be comfortable with making outbound phone calls, generating interest with customers, qualifying prospects and closing sales. The Business Development Representative will constantly identify opportunities to grow customer's sales revenue and build positive relationships with new contacts. The preferred candidate must be strategic and analytical when finding solutions to problems to ensure maximum customer satisfaction. Essential Duties, Functions or Responsibilities:
- Explain and demonstrate TestEquity's capabilities, services or products, and answer questions from customers or prospects
- Effectively collaborate with team members to improve processes and drive revenue/customer growth
- Help create, develop, and close related sales opportunities
- Own and manage pipeline and forecast for your account package
- Support and drive company initiatives to achieve National revenue goals
- Work collaboratively with Sales Leadership to support customers' infrastructure requirements, developing and providing technical solutions to meet their needs
- Deliver prepared sales presentations, utilizing support material describing products or services, to help existing and potential customers
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with manufacturer partners
- Manage time effectively to achieve specific objectives daily, weekly, and monthly
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound calls and emails
- Understand customer needs and requirements
- Call a set number of accounts within your account package per day
- Close sales and achieve sales and account quotas
- Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
- Maintain and grow account package year over year
- Building and maintaining profitable relationships with key customers.
Qualifications
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience developing and expanding an inside sales function
- Highly energetic and results driven individual
- Ability to occasionally travel domestically
- 3+ years' experience in a sales role
- Industry knowledge preferred
- Electronic Manufacturing and Production Product knowledge a must
- Understanding of Test and Measurement Products preferred
- Excellent presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Results driven with excellent time management, organizational and overall execution skills
- Strong working knowledge of CRM
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Project, Power Point, Excel, and Word
Physical Requirements:
