JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: A Faculty level Researcher position is available to conduct basic and translational cancer research in the Department of Pediatrics at Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA. The candidate should have an M.D., Ph.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degree and a strong background in biochemistry and molecular biology with a specific interest and experience in autophagy and signal transduction. The candidate must have demonstrated excellent scientific productivity, writing and communication skills, and the ability to conduct research independently or in team settings. Responsibilities include but are not limited to 1) conducting lab research to a high standard in accordance with all institutional and federal regulations; 2) developing new research ideas and collaborations; 3) assisting the PI in grant and manuscript submissions; 4) participating in teaching and training students, fellows, and technicians for their research projects.
