The Timekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the timekeeping operations in the Payroll & Timekeeping Operations Unit's, ensuring accurate recording of work hours, absences, and leave time. This position ensures that timekeeping systems and processes are compliant with City policies, union agreements, and federal and state labor laws. The Timekeeping Supervisor manages a team of timekeepers, ensures accurate time data entry, resolves discrepancies, and works closely with payroll staff to ensure the timely processing of employee pay. Minimum Qualifications 1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty; or Preferred Skills
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in timekeeping, payroll, or human resources, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role. - Experience with timekeeping, HR, or payroll software systems, such as CityTime, PMS, CHRMS, or other enterprise-level time and attendance systems. - Strong knowledge of timekeeping policies, City payroll processes, labor laws, and union agreements. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. - Strong attention to detail and the ability to detect and correct discrepancies. - Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with employees at all levels. - Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to address issues in a timely and efficient manner. 55a Program
