Crane Operator

We are currently seeking a Crane Operator to work in our Monroe, NC facility. As a crane operator you will play a valuable role in keeping all areas stocked by moving and staging material. You will be operating a bridge type cab-controlled crane to lift, transport and position materials and supplies for production below.

A successful candidate will demonstrate an attention to detail, communication, and teamwork.

This is a night shift position from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, working on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule. You will work 2 days, have 2 days off, work 3 days; then 2 days off, work 2 days, then have 3 days off. Training will be on day shift, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, working on the same rotating schedule.

Additional Responsibilities



  • Use cab controls to operate crane bridge, trolley and hoist to lift, transport and position bar, billet, mill rods, other parts, components, materials and supplies.
  • Operate where loads are hooked up and detached buy others.
  • Exercise care in operation to detect indication of slipping or shifting loads, incorrect hitching or slinging or other safety hazards.
  • Perform daily pre-shift checks (check IME to make sure working correctly)

Basic Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Required to pass IME screening


Preferred Qualifications:



  • At least one (1) year of manufacturing experience
