How you will make history here...
The Engineering Manager will lead and manage all functions and activities of the Engineering Department in the assigned plant. This position will partner with key plant and corporate stakeholders to implement and drive best practices in safety, engineering, process engineering, reliability, environmental, and technology. Engineering responsibilities include the development, implementation, and administration of the plant's annual and long-term capital plans with support from Corporate Engineering. This role interfaces with maintenance staff in trouble shooting equipment and facility problems and development of site asset care/replacement plans.

What you will do...
* Drives creative and breakthrough engineering/capital projects from conception to project close-out by leading the teams that plan, implement, and manage such projects. Ensures projects are completed in scope, on budget, and on time.
* Leads and supports the team responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of highly automated food processing equipment, including advanced robotics technology.
* Partner with Suppliers to research and submit recommendations for equipment and plant systems purchases.
* Directs and coordinates fabrication and installation activities to ensure equipment and systems conform to engineering design and recommends design modifications to eliminate machine or systems malfunctions.
* Collaborate with the site Maintenance department and technical resources to drive alignment with company asset reliability initiatives and enhance the Planned, Preventative and Predictive Maintenance programs to ensure plant equipment is maintained in good operating condition.
* Provides technical support and resource(s) coordination to the plant's Continuous Improvement (i.e. Lean/Six Sigma) initiatives, including coaching, monitoring and implementation of associated tools and changes.
* Interact with plant maintenance resources and troubleshooting activities as needed to address key equipment downtime and facility problems in a timely manner
* Assume a leadership role in Plant safety initiatives and compliance. Prepare CSC safety audit sections and lead auditors through assigned sections.
* Tracks key performance indicators on an ongoing basis; identifies and communicates issues to senior management and implements appropriate corrective action to deliver departmental results.
* Explains and enforces Company policies pertaining to safety, quality, and workplace conduct. Performs Contractor Safety Orientation and maintains files of insurance and other pertinent records.
* Maintain qualified engineering staff to support manufacturing and capital initiatives. Promote personal and professional development.
* Partners with Plant Controller and Plant Manager to develop the AOP budget for the Engineering and in collaboration with the Maintenance department. Closely monitors and controls departmental costs, including labor and overtime; adjusts as necessary to meet budgetary guidelines.
* Support the plant's environmental programs including permitting and adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
* Must align engineering, maintenance, reliability, and technology initiatives with plant objectives surrounding safety, people, quality, delivery and cost across multiple sites in the region.
* Must be able to simultaneously prioritize and execute multiple projects all of which may in different stages of development or implementation.
* Must be able to perform complex engineering and statistical calculations to solve operating issues and to optimize production processes.
* Participate on plant staff, steering committees, and various teams to drive strategic direction and key initiatives.
* Must build and leverage positive, cross-functional relationships to address identified gaps and implement best practices. Must be able to lead change initiatives by developing and implementing effective communication and training programs to move the organization towards acceptance and ownership of key initiatives.

What you will bring to the table... (Must Have)
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required
* 5+ years of experience in Engineering leadership or Senior Engineering within a manufacturing environment

* Proficiency in Windows-based software applications (Word, Excel, Access) and ERP systems

It would be great if you have... (Nice to Have)
* 5+ years of Engineering Leadership experience within food manufacturing preferred

* TPM and/or Lean Six Sigma experience preferred

* Familiarity with OSHA, NEC, NFPA, FM requirements and EPA regulations

* SAP experience preferred

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between

$120,000-$172,500

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
