ATI is seeking to an Operations Leader (Shift Supervisor) for our Washington, PA, facility. This role will support our Specialty Rolled Products business unit.

This position is responsible for leading a diverse, represented hourly workforce in day-to-day operational activities in a manufacturing setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of safety, quality, and productivity as well as problem solving during an operational shift. This position has strong long term growth potential.

Candidates for this position must be willing to work all shifts including days, afternoons, and nights as part of a rotational schedule.

Additional Responsibilities



  • Ensure a safe working environment through observation and management
  • Address any equipment breakdowns or failures with the correct maintenance or engineering functions to support operations
  • Initiate investigations into disciplinary or safety related issues
  • Coordinate with daylight shift supervisors and Sr. Leaders to ensure night shift coverage for operation
  • While covering night shift, responsibility for all operations and maintenance hourly personnel on site



Basic Qualifications


  • Formal or informal people leadership or management experience in a professional setting



Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor's Degree in an engineering or math related technical field
  • Previous experience managing a represented workforce
  • Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Ability to effectively lead and manage a diverse and represented hourly workforce.
  • Strong problem solving skills and/or the ability to learn problem solving techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organization skills.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work shifts, including weekends, as required.
  • Candidates should have a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a highly motivated team environment.
