Hours: This is a full-time position (40 hours per week/ 8:30am-5pm / M-F/ (may vary; hybrid potential after 1 mo)
Pay: $21.00 per hour
Campus: Chicago/remote

Northwestern University is seeking a temporary full-time Program Assistant for the Chicago campus.

Temporary Job Description:

The Temporary Program Assistant will provide administrative support for alumni engagement activities, including preparation, execution, and wrap-up duties for Alumni Weekend 2025. Tasks include: assisting with mail merges (Word); formatting of digital and printed documents; executing mailings; look-ups/queries in the organizational CRM; creation and preparation of Excel spreadsheets; data entry; list management; and data clean-up, as well as assembling event materials, expense reports, scheduling, and calendar management.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • One year in a business administration, data management, or administrative support role
  • Strong data management skills (collection, analysis, distribution, maintenance) and experience with modern database and information system technologies.
  • Project management skills and demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including advanced use of Word, Outlook, and especially Excel.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including experience and comfort level interacting with members of the public, such as medical school alumni and donors.

- Experience demonstrating exceptional attention to detail.
