TITLE: Laborer Apprentice STATUS: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Laborer Journeyman, Laborer Foreman DATE: Rev. 2/2019

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Responsible for learning the trade while assisting with preparation, handling, and supplying of materials to be
used by other crafts.
EXPECTATIONS OF ALL TEAM MEMBERS

KEY RESULT AREAS (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
A. Load and unload equipment
B. Erect and dismantle scaffolding (5X7X16) and staging
C. Level ground for scaffolding
D. Tend motor and grout
E. Lift, unload, move, set and shovel mortar and grout between wheel barrows and buckets
F. General cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing and loading or burning of
debris
G. Place, push, pull and shovel concrete
H. Vibrate concrete
I. Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
J. All other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
A. Ability to work with tools and equipment, such as, power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps,
drills and jackhammers, forklifts, skid loaders and power buggies
B. Strong teamwork orientation
C. Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
D. Detail oriented
E. Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A. Enrolled in Apprentice Aptitude Program
B. Experience in Construction preferred
