We are currently hiring a Mounter/Assembler Wage: $22.50/hr. Shift: Monday-Friday, 1st shift- 7:00am-3:30pm What's in it for you? ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Primary Duties Insert correct lens into correct side of frame (right and left lens) Ensure that lenses are correct size and fit into frame Ensure that any special beveling needs are met for each individual Rx Properly align frame by bending with fingers and/or tools Verify the axis on all multi-focal lenses Make sure all lenses are cosmetically acceptable Align bifocals and progressives to make sure they are straight across Briefly inspect frames for defects or broken parts FRAME ALIGNMENT=All new frames should have a correct four-point touch. Temples and front should be square. Spring hinge frames are satisfactory if slightly bent in. Front wrap should be minimal unless by design of frame. Pad arms should be bent at equal distance. There should be no bridge twist or co-plainer. Temples should close evenly. All screws must be tight. No "V" in eye wire. Check for sealed eye wear instructions. Secondary Duties Cross-train in other positions and help in other areas of department when needed Remove eyewire screws from ophthalmic frames to facilitate insertion of edged lenses QUALIFICATIONS Education High School Diploma or GED Experience One year of Lab experience helpful By applying to this job and providing your mobile number, you are agreeing to receive an initial text, which you will have to ability to opt out of upon receipt.
