Job Description

Primary Functions:

  • Data abstraction, coding, review, customization and maintenance of the Trauma Registry.
  • Daily submission of data to Pennsylvania Trauma Outcome Study database in compliance with state standards.
  • Generating data reports for trauma research.
  • Active participation in Trauma Performance Improvement program initiatives and peer review meetings for trauma center reaccreditation with Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation.
  • Data abstraction, coding for national trauma database and for TQIP submission; requires monthly participation in TQIP education.
  • Create, update and distribute daily census to trauma team members. Working knowledge and experience with ICD10 diagnostic and procedure coding.
