UNM Medical Group, Inc. is hiring for a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to join our Truman Health Services Clinic. This opportunity is a full-time day shift opening located in Albuquerque, New Mexico and will work as a hybrid in-person/remote position, primarily working in an office space located inside one of the UNM Medical Group's largest clinics, Truman Health Services Clinic.

*Please note, selected candidate must have a permanent address and live in New Mexico or be willing to relocate to New Mexico*

Minimum $83,283 - Midpoint $106,121*

*Salary is determined based on years of total relevant experience.

*Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.

Summary:

Provides advanced expertise on a broad range of human resource (HR) management topics. Serves in a leadership capacity by partnering directly with the business unit leadership to resolve day-to-day, as well as large-scale organizational issues, and/or leading major HR initiatives. Identifies opportunities to enhance HR practices across the business unit(s) to support organizational goals and objectives. Responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. Maintains in-depth knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies, processes, and resources.

Minimum Job Requirements of a Senior HR Business Partner:

High School or GED. 9 years of experience Directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Senior HR Business Partner:



  1. Supports the Organization's efforts to provide excellent HR services by partnering with business unit leadership on a wide range of complex situations and/or leading major HR initiatives.
  2. Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and practices.
  3. Provides advanced expertise and leadership on a broad and comprehensive range of human resources activities, including, but not limited to employee relations and investigations, performance management, talent development, policy and regulatory compliance, and other related HR functional areas.
  4. Resolves or assists in the resolution of policy related, process related or procedural problems and/or inquiries received from department representatives, employees and/or applicants.
  5. Participates in all facets of an organizational diversity program by supporting and/or leading in the development and implementation of strategic plans, policies, and procedures.
  6. Directly works with business unit leadership on issues related to FMLA, WC, and ADA.
  7. Serves as a resource for UNMMG policy and procedure interpretation and required paperwork; provides general information and answers complex questions. Has broad knowledge of cascaded Health System and/or HSC policies, as appropriate.
  8. Trains individuals/departments and/or leadership on HR processes and systems; may develop training materials.
  9. Provides support in other specialized functional areas of HR.
  10. Works closely with Payroll, IT, and other functions to ensure consistency with processes, policies and procedures.
  11. May participate in activities such as organization committees, employee events, new employee orientation, job fairs, or the development of SOPs; may organize events such as service awards luncheon, lead or participate in programs such as mentorship, awards and recognition, or volunteer committee.
  12. May provide technical and professional guidance, consultation and support to leadership and/or other related personnel as it pertains to accreditation, collection of data, and other related activities.
  13. May participate in the interpretation of assessment findings; analyzes and compiles comprehensive statistical and narrative data; assists with the preparation of official assessment reports to summarize findings.
