Automation Programmer

Job Title: Control System Engineer - Automation Programmer Location: Houston, TX

Position Overview: We are looking for a Control System Engineer specializing in programming to join our client's Houston-based team. This role will focus on automation systems programming, including PLC/SCADA logic development, simulation, testing, and commissioning. Key Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Develop and program advanced PLC logic using platforms such as Allen Bradley, GE Fanuc, Siemens, Modicon, and Omron.

  
  
• 
  

  Configure and program HMI/SCADA systems, including Rockwell Factory Talk View, GE iFix/Cimplicity, Wonderware, Iconics, and Siemens WinCC.

  
  
• 
  

  Perform simulation and testing of automation systems to ensure operational reliability.

  
  
• 
  

  Support the maintenance and programming of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Business Critical Systems.

  
  
• 
  

  Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful system startup and commissioning.

  
  
• 
  

  Maintain and document system configurations and updates.

  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  

  Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.

  
  
• 
  

  At least 5+ years of experience in control system programming.

  
  
• 
  

  Expertise in Honeywell Experion programming and controller development from scratch.

  
  
• 
  

  Strong knowledge of PLC/SCADA software from various vendors.
