FlexStaff is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Temporary Procurement Analyst to work for our client, an electrical facility in Queens.

The Procurement Analyst is responsible for analyzing procurement data, supporting strategic sourcing initiatives, and providing insights to optimize the procurement process. This role involves working closely with procurement teams to identify cost-saving opportunities, enhance supplier performance, and ensure compliance with procurement policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Reporting:



  • Collect, analyze, and interpret procurement data, including spend analysis, supplier performance, and market trends.
  • Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and performance metrics to senior management.
  • Develop dashboards and data visualizations to support decision-making.
  • Strategic Sourcing Support:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings and improve supplier performance.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
  • Support the procurement team in supplier selection and negotiation processes.


Supplier and Contract Management:



  • Track and assess supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist in managing supplier relationships and addressing any performance issues or contract disputes.
  • Ensure that procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Cost Analysis and Budgeting:
  • Perform cost analysis and benchmarking to identify areas for cost savings and efficiency gains.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing procurement-related data and insights.


Collaboration and Communication:



  • Work closely with procurement, finance, and other departments to gather requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.


Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field. Relevant certification (e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP)) is a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or data analysis.

Skills:



  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management principles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.


Work Environment:



  • Primarily office-based with potential for occasional travel to supplier locations or company sites.
  • May require extended hours during peak periods or to meet project deadlines.
  • Able to manage various contract processes at once.
