ATI is seeking to hire an Operations Leader to support our Specialty Rolled Products business unit. This position will be based at our Monaca, PA Operations location. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost Control for the plate finishing operation. Essential Functions
- Supervise work and provide technical assistance to respective hourly personnel in the organization unit operations adhering to safety and housekeeping controls
- Facilitate the installation of continuous improvement projects to reduce the overall cycle time of material flowing through the plant.
- Assure adherence to production priorities and oversee material sorting/staging and transport within the facility.
- Assure operator/equipment uptime for on-time delivery. Assure correct operation of equipment for quality assurance.
- Capture and communicate details of non-conforming materials preventing completion of processing.
- Works closely with inside and outside support personnel for mill activity coordination
- Create cross training opportunities to enhance coverage and redundancy to mitigate unplanned vacancies.
- Make modifications to material routing based on production needs.
Basic Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
- 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment leading an hourly workforce.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in technical or engineering strongly preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with PLC's, motor control centers static drives and power distribution.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical blueprints.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to learn and understand the intricacies of the precision finishing process and be able to capture and automate the learnings.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage priorities & work schedule to consistently meet deadlines.
- Ability to effectively lead a diverse and represented hourly workforce.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organization skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software - Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc. and ability to use and maintain related company systems.
