WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Job Summary Directs and implements the planning, organizing, development and overall operation of campus Life Enrichment programs in accordance with current Trilogy, federal, state, and local standards and guidelines. They develop and implement a wide range of recreational, social, and educational programs to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being. The Life Enrichment Director collaborates with residents, staff, and families to create a vibrant and engaging environment that supports the unique needs and interests of each individual and enhances quality of life and wellbeing. Roles and Responsibilities * Provides a lifestyle of wellbeing and engagement in accordance with the resident's preferences, needs, interests, abilities, that are consistent with Trilogy Service Standards. * Directs and coordinates, with respective departments, community planning, at least a month in advance, related to the interests of the health campus and the services and needs of the resident and family. * Serves as a collaborative member of the campus leadership team and supports the focus on improving customer satisfaction. * Directs the development, implementation, supervision, and ongoing evaluation of all wellbeing and engagement programs, including all federally regulated and Trilogy assigned assessments. * Develops staff schedules per Trilogy Service Standards that align with resident needs and Life Enrichment Associate (LEA) daily assignment sheets and ensures LEAs are following assigned tasks. * Evaluates the effectiveness of life enrichment services based upon resident, family, Life Enrichment Support, Executive Director, support, and/or survey results. * Responds to resident activity concerns within 24-48 hours. * Reports findings and recommendations to the Campus Quality Assessment and Assurance Committee. * Develops positive trusting relationships with all staff members, residents, and families. * Promotes the engagement and wellbeing of campus life to families and community organizations. * Develops and distributes campus news letter, social media posts, and promotes events through various platforms. * Establishes and maintains an effective volunteer program through recruiting, screening, orienting, training, supervising, evaluating, and recognizing volunteers. * Ensures that all life enrichment personnel are aware of the care plan and that care plans are used in providing daily life enrichment activities for the resident. * Ensures that department personnel participate in and conduct all fire safety and disaster preparedness drills in a safe and professional manner. * Orders supplies timely and efficiently to ensure activity supplies and equipment are on hand to meet the day-to-day operational needs. * Makes periodic rounds to check equipment and to assure that necessary equipment is available and working properly. * Organizes and maintains supply rooms for efficiency and inventory control. * Keeps updated on industry trends, best practices, and new engagement opportunities related to wellbeing. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Bachelor Degree Experience: 0-1 years Licenses and Certifications Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist preferred. ADC, ACC, or CDP preferred. In the event the incumbent provides transportation services to residents, they must possess and maintain the appropriate valid license and/or certifications required to operate vehicles for transporting residents safely and in compliance with all applicable state regulations. In addition, those working in Kentucky must complete a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical before providing transportation services. Physical Requirements Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during working hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be able to maintain verbal and written communication with co-workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all business associates outside of the health campus.
