Join our team as a key contributor to the Submarine Safety (SUBSAFE) and Deep Submergence System (DSS) programs! In this role, you'll collaborate with the SSPD to ensure production efforts meet critical customer directives and specifications. You'll interpret and advise on SUBSAFE/DSS requirements, standards, and directives, making a direct impact on our mission. This dynamic position requires strong analytical and personnel management skills, along with the flexibility for frequent travel and overtime. SCOPE * Implementing an effective SUBSAFE/DSS program, which follows the guidelines of the source documents, and program associated documentation and requirements. Reviewing program document changes, assessing impact on the operations and procedures, and proposing changes to QA Manual and procedures. Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS B.S. in an Engineering discipline preferred; or five years' experience in SS/DSS-SOC programs in lieu of an Engineering Degree. This experience should include the following: * Three years' experience that has provided a practical knowledge of quality programs and quality inspection and quality control involving SUBSAFE or DSS Programs. In depth working knowledge of the Submarine Safety (SUBSAFE)/DSS Program as defined by NAVSEA 0924-062-0010, Submarine Safety (SUBSAFE) Requirements Manual, SS800-AG-MAN-010/P-9290 System Certification Procedures and Criteria Manual for Deep Submergence Systems for and associated documents. Working knowledge of Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Naval Shipyards and Supervisor of Shipbuilding and Conversion and Repair and Type Commander Organizations.
