A Quality Inspector Technician is responsible for meticulously examining manufactured parts and materials to ensure they meet stringent quality standards and specifications. Utilizing a range of precision tools and instruments, they conduct thorough inspections, document findings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain adherence to quality control protocols and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct Inspections: Thoroughly inspecting manufactured parts, materials, or products to ensure they meet specified quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Measurement and Inspection: Utilize various measurement tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to perform accurate measurements and assessments.
  • Data Analysis: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and quality control documents to understand inspection requirements and criteria.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Record inspection results, including measurements, deviations from specifications, and any non-conformities detected, in detailed reports or databases.
  • Provide value to our customers by using Lean tools and concepts to identify and eliminate waste in all forms (scrap/rework, transportation, motion, waiting, inventory, over production, over processing, and under-utilization of people). Uses systemic thinking by seeing processes from end to end and works to challenge the status quo to eliminate the root cause of problems. Is involved in individual and/or team activities that involve using Lean tools and concepts to improve the flow of information and material.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS


  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Experience: Prefer prior experience in quality control, manufacturing, or working in a similar environment
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and inspection standards.
  • Problem Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot issues with CMM equipment, measurement programs, or part quality is critical.

The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
