Join Our Team as a Cytopathology Lab Supervisor at Brigham and Women's Hospital! Location: Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston, MA Schedule: Days, Monday - Friday Are you an experienced Cytotechnologist looking to step into a supervisory role? Our Cytopathology Lab is seeking a dedicated Lab Supervisor to lead daily operations, ensure quality standards, and support an efficient workflow. Key Responsibilities: - Leadership & Supervision: Oversee cytotechnologists and cytoprep technicians, manage workflow, perform competency assessments, and assist in training and hiring. - Quality Assurance: Ensure accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and maintain quality control standards. - Cytology Expertise: Conduct thorough evaluations of cytologic samples such as Pap tests, bronchoscopic specimens, and fluid samples, aiding in patient diagnosis and care. - Technical Support: Oversee lab instrumentation troubleshooting and stay updated on technical developments. - Collaboration & Communication: Act as a liaison between the Cytopathology Lab, the Pathology department, and other hospital departments.
Qualifications: - Education: Baccalaureate degree and certification from an accredited cytotechnology program. - Certification: ASCP Board of Registry certification is required. - Experience: Minimum of 3 years in the field, ideally with supervisory experience.
