Mechanic Master

The Mechanic Master oversees corrective requests and preventive maintenance to resolve and anticipate building systems problems. Working independently, this role manages the elimination of operational disruptions in the hospital and delivers service in a timely manner. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 7AM - 3:30PM. This position is replacing the Plumber that was promoted to another role.
Talent Pool - Facilities & Operations
  • Identifies causes for equipment malfunctions and coordinates the necessary repairs to restore safe, efficient operations.
  • Reviews the safety and cleanliness of workspaces in order to minimize risks and service disruptions.
  • Ensures the documentation of work orders, reports, and estimates for management review in line with compliance guidelines.
  • Communicates effectively with internal and external teams to make repairs and deliver correct status updates.
  • Completes rounds of equipment inspection to ensure that proper tools and equipment are being utilized to eliminate risk to staff.
  • Manages the leveling, aligning, and installing of industrial machinery on foundations or base plates for servicing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 10 years of experience in a maintenance trade with at least 5 years in a hospital/healthcare environment
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required: Valid Driver's License (if driving a Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must be approved by Risk Management)
Preferred: License or Certification in a maintenance craft (Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, or HVAC)
