Position Description

PIMCO's US Global Wealth Management (GWM) division is seeking an ETF Account Manager (AM) to join our ETF distribution team. PIMCO currently manages over $31 billion across 24 ETFs in the US and is recognized as a leader and innovator in active fixed income ETFs. As the premier active fixed income manager globally, PIMCO is dedicated to expanding its ETF business to establish a dominant presence in the active fixed income ETF market. This is an exciting opportunity to join an entrepreneurial team within a rapidly growing segment of GWM, building on the success of our established ETF franchise. We are actively enhancing our platform to support new product launches and engage with a diverse range of GWM clients across the region. This role provides valuable experience in working with wirehouse advisors/teams, independent advisors and registered investment advisors (RIAs), contributing to a significant growth area for the firm.

As an ETF Account Manager, you will focus on driving sales across all distribution channels in the northeastern US. You will be responsible for generating sales both directly and in collaboration with PIMCO's existing distribution team, playing a crucial role in the development of PIMCO's evolving distribution system. The ideal candidate will be a true team player with exceptional sales skills, ETF expertise, strong collaboration abilities, and a deep understanding of the evolving financial advisory landscape.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maximize territory performance and drive sales with financial advisor clients to achieve and surpass net and gross sales targets for the assigned territory on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

  • Execute and achieve a strategic territory business plan that aligns with long-term objectives and a consultative sales approach.

  • Identify and establish new partnerships to grow PIMCO's ETF business with Wealth Managers within broker-dealers, wires, rand RIAs.

  • Develop marketing and sales campaigns to drive PIMCO's ETF business with existing partners and clients.

  • Partner with GWM colleagues across sales to advocate for ETF-focused initiatives while navigating complex relationships.

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of PIMCO's products, platforms, themes, initiatives, markets, strategies, and policies.

  • Represent PIMCO ETFs at industry and client events.

  • Comply with all travel and expense reimbursement and activity reporting in a timely manner.

  • Ensure the highest level of compliance with all industry standards, client firm requirements, and PIMCO policies, including adherence to all legislative and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide feedback to PIMCO management on product demand, sales trends and client satisfaction when appropriate.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; CFA, CPA designations, and/or an MBA are a plus.

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in an ETF client-facing, business development, field sales, or related role.

  • Established relationships with key prospects and clients within the Northeast Region.

  • Strong skills in territory management with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.

  • Extensive knowledge of the ETF ecosystem.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to contribute to the growth of the ETF distribution infrastructure.

  • Solid financial services background with knowledge of investment trends and advisor practices.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to engage key partners, present sales materials, and convey technical information product information.

  • Exceptional client engagement skills with a history of achieving high levels of client satisfaction and building strong, lasting relationships.

  • Possession of Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses required.

  • Clean U-4 record.

  • Willingness to travel up to 90% of the time is required.

  • Experience with broker-dealer home office ETF contacts is desirable.

  • Self-starter, ability to work within the firm's demanding and highly focused environment

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.
Salary Range: $ 205,000.00 - $ 240,000.00
