Job Summary:
Within the Galipeau group at Wisconsin Institutes for Medical Research (WIMR), the successful applicant will lead a mentored pre-clinical research project with potential for direct clinical translation. The candidate will develop and study the physiology and translational use of novel cell and gene therapy applications in cancer, inflammatory bowel disease diabetes and neuro-immune disorders. The candidate will also be expected to contribute to the preparation of manuscript and reports and to regularly present their findings at meetings, lab meetings and national/international symposia. Responsibilities: Identifies research problems, designs research methodologies, performs research, and helps to prepare the results for presentation to professional organizations or for scholarly publications to help advance research.

Education: Required Qualifications: This position requires at least 2 years previous experience in tissue culture of cell lines and primary cell lines. Basic laboratory skills/knowledge in biochemistry or molecular biology also required. Experience with flow cytometry and willingness to work with murine animal models of human disease is desired.
