Job Summary:

Responsible for assisting the 7(a) Lending Department in completing 7(a) SBA loan packages for submission to gain approval for a government guarantee. The position requires completing SBA forms, gathering required information and providing supportive narrative for the submissions to the government agency. The position also requires contact with internal and external customers to assist with completion of the loan package. Additional duties include preparing closing documentation for external customers and obtaining items for loan closings. The 7(a) Loan Associate II may complete more complex projects and may train / mentor other 7(a) Loan Associates.

Job Requirements:

Education:Associate's Degree or higher in business or related field of study preferred. Previous course work in SBA lending preferred.

Certifications/Licenses:None.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Training and Experience: Minimum of 2 years of prior commercial lending related work experience, completing or reviewing lending documentation preferred. Having extraordinary attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and autonomously with little guidance. Displays the confidence and competence to gain/maintain MCDC's credibility. Takes initiative to learn, develop oneself and see things through from start to finish. Proven interpersonal, communication and computer skills; ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, copiers, etc. Ability to multitask between different stages of a commercial loan package (approval, packaging, loan closing, etc.). Comply with all requirements, policies, and procedures.
