Acting Independently, leads technical consulting engagements with the technical segments of Jack Henry's largest customers. Ensures alignment of the bank's technical architecture with their business requirements and aligns bank's technical strategy with Jack Henry's roadmaps.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Continuously analyze, update, and execute on the technical architecture consultant practices.
  • Develop technology strategy artifacts including the documentation, review and updating of large bank architecture diagrams and POC's.
  • Define and assist banks in execution of best practices for testing.
  • Work with bank and Jack Henry development and architecture teams to identify, document, and implement best practices.
  • Complete project level architecture reviews and assist customers in vendor selection.
  • Serve as an architecture subject matter expert.
  • Provides mentorship to large bank architecture teams to guide them to achieve technical consistency and continuous improvement.
  • Design and document end-to-end Jack Henry and 3rd party solutions for large bank customers.
  • Remain current with industry development and incorporate applicable technologies into solutions.
  • May perform other job duties assigned.

What you'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 to 14 years of experience in software development, architecture, or engineering.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Financial service, in house and hosted system deployment experience preferred.
  • Has broad expertise or unique knowledge and contributes to large bank and Jack Henry objectives as a subject matter expert. Works on highly complex and diverse customer facing projects.
  • Exercises independent judgement in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining solutions.
  • Able to perform systematic application integrations with high integration project success rates.
  • Able to assist in the design of bank technology infrastructure.
  • Able to meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Expert knowledge of systems, applications, or process designs within information technology.
  • Expert communication skills for software development, software testing, and architecture practices with operations and executive management audiences.
