Summary:

This position will provide support to the Western Division by managing the expense O&M budgets effectively communicating throughout the division.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Manage the Division Expense O&M Budgets to accurately anticipate and effectively communicate forecasted expenditures and cash flows on a monthly bases.
  • Serve as the Division lead for the management of the Divisions O&M Budget. Partner with Area Coordinators and Project Managers on budget variance explanations, missed forecasts and accruals. Train, develop and refine processes as needs for improvements dictate.

  • Support and assist Division Project Managers on project forecasting. Make cash flow adjustments and project work order funding revisions to reflect changes in forecasts.



  • Develop and refine project forecasting and budget develop tools using historical project spend by project subtypes.



  • Facilitate the development of future O&M budgets working with Project Managers, Area Management and Area Coordinators on a process that ensures a thorough review and well justified explanations for the projects and funds submitted. Ensure the budget development critical path timelines dictated in each step of the process are met.



  • Process and validate invoices related to projects in the accounts payable system



  • Identify, track and process accruals on a monthly basis



  • Conduct training to company personnel on company programs and processes




Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:



  • Must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Above average computer skills, particularly in developing and utilizing spreadsheets and internal programs.
  • Able to perform base budget forecasting, project cost forecasting and to utilize tools to improve accuracy.
  • In-depth knowledge of Company administrative procedures and guidelines.
  • Excellent leadership, administrative, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and work effectively with others in a team environment.
  • Must have excellent planning and organizational skills


Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:



  • The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experience


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision. Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously in an environment of changing priorities, reporting, and regulatory requirements.



  • Must be organized and able to effectively establish priorities and plan efficiently.



  • Deals frequently with a wide range of contacts including technical, operations, contractors, vendors, and various levels of management.



  • Must be able to work extended hours and/or days during peak work periods and to meet strict deadlines.



  • Incumbent will be required to take and pass a pre-employment drug test, and is subject to a pre-employment background check.



  • Must have a proven safe driving record.



  • Position will be filled at appropriate level based on skill and experience.


  • Will require approximately 5% travel within area of responsibility

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
