Position Title: Japanese Bilingual Cybersecurity Consultant
Location: Irvine, CA
Status: Exempt
Overview:
A global cybersecurity firm is looking for a Japanese Bilingual Specialist to provide expert cybersecurity guidance to Japanese clients, including developing and implementing security strategies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The consultant will lead the development and execution of consulting projects for Japanese companies, build strong client relationships, and contribute to the growth of the company's cybersecurity consulting services within the Japanese market. This position requires a deep understanding of both Japanese business culture and the latest cybersecurity threats and technologies, coupled with strong communication, project management, and client relationship-building skills.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
* Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the IT security consulting services within the Japanese market in the US.
* Lead the development and execution of consulting projects for Japanese companies operating in the US and their overseas subsidiaries.
* Cultivate strong client relationships through effective communication and proactive problem-solving.
* Mentor and guide junior team members on best practices and industry standards.
* Conduct in-depth research on the latest cybersecurity threats and trends, including market analysis and competitive intelligence gathering.
* Develop compelling proposals, present them to clients, and successfully negotiate contracts.
* Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments, compliance audits, and vulnerability assessments.
* Develop and implement security improvement plans, including policy and procedure enhancements and system upgrades.
* Actively participate in internal and client meetings, contributing valuable insights and expertise.
* Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and internal stakeholders.
* Effectively manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
* Ensure client satisfaction and maintain strong working relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
* Continuously seek opportunities to improve work processes and enhance efficiency.
* Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work.
* Adhere to all company policies and ethical guidelines.
* Foster positive and collaborative relationships with colleagues and external contacts.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
* Minimum of five years of professional experience in IT security consulting or project management.
* Proven track record of success in developing and delivering high-quality security solutions.
* Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and industry best practices.
* Proficiency in common security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls).
* Experience with relevant security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
* Certifications (Preferred):
* CISSP, CISM, CISA, or other relevant security certifications.
* Primarily an office-based role with occasional travel required.
* Fluency in both written and spoken English and Japanese is essential.

The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
