We are seeking a skilled and experienced Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives to join our team and play a key role in optimizing business processes for Sightline. The Executive of Strategic Initiatives will report to the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives for JHHS and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the business processes align with organizational goals and drives operational efficiency through process improvement.

Job Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Vice President/Sr. Vice President for the Johns Hopkins Health System, the Director, Strategic Initiatives will be an integral member of the senior leadership team. The position will be responsible for managing strategic relationships with executive, administrative, and clinical leadership within JHM. The position executes and implements vital priorities and oversees all aspects of assigned projects and programs. This role will optimize business processes and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the business processes align with organizational goals and drives operational efficiency through process improvement.

With limited supervision, the Director, Strategic Initiatives conducts business planning, designs project plans, determines stakeholders, engages subject matter experts (SME) and monitors the progress of projects and programs according to aggressive deadlines and within budget across various functional areas, including IT, HR, Procurement, Performance Improvement, Project Management and ERP implementation. The role will have high visibility and accountability with business partners and will lead cross-functional initiatives with key stakeholders across the enterprise.

This position acts as a trusted advisor or thought partner to the VP/COO for programs and projects by structuring related undefined issues for resolution, researching issues, summarizing information, leading projects and working with relevant stakeholders. This role may represent the VP/COO's position on committees and in communications with internal and external stakeholders; and will lead/direct the work of team members engaged in performance improvement and strategic projects.

Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Operations Management, or a related health sciences field required.
  • 7-10+ years of relevant experience is required inclusive of 3- 5 years of management experience. Experience with process improvement, change management, business process reengineering or ERP implementation required.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies is a plus
  • Proven track record of successfully leading process optimization initiatives in the context of ERP implementations, preferably in the healthcare setting.
  • Proficient understanding of ERP systems and their impact on business processes, with experience in implementing and configuring ERP solutions
  • Familiarity with budget and financial oversight and models
  • Excellent knowledge base of performance improvement, process mapping, program design and implementation as well as project management best practices.
  • Demonstrated relevant analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze and interpret data to drive decision-making


Salary Range: Minimum $195,000 per year - Maximum $245,000 per year. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
