About the Role

As the Revenue Recognition Professional, you will play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate accounting close process for the revenue cycle. Your expertise will be vital in developing robust internal controls and ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements for revenue accounting. You will review, analyze, and interpret contracts to provide strategic revenue accounting advice, and you'll also be responsible for creating necessary accounting memos. Additionally, you'll optimize data and tools within the Order-to-Revenue cycle, driving process efficiency and enhancing revenue accuracy.

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for the day-to-day activities for technical and operational revenue recognition process for specific Business unit.

  • Provide Technical Revenue Accounting guidance to the organization.

  • Assist sales operations team in structuring unique transactions and sales programs while satisfying GAAP requirements for revenue recognition.

  • Provide input that will help drive process efficiencies for the order to cash process.

  • Ensure compliance within the SOX 404 framework.

  • Help coordinate quarterly and annual audit requirements.

  • Responsible for testing and support for the DX transformation project.

What Skills & Experience You Should Have

  • Experience in the application of ASC 606 with 3-5 years of experience in detailed review of revenue transactions and general accounting experience

  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent

  • US public company experience preferred

  • Advanced skills in Excel/spreadsheets

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline driven environment

  • Experience with ASC 340-40, ASC 805 preferred

  • Salesforce, Oracle 11i, Revpro, BI experience a plus
