Who We Are As part of Cisco's Security Business Group, the Security Innovation team incubates ideas for the leading provider of network security services, which enables the world to connect with confidence on any device, anywhere, anytime. Our product portfolio includes the cloud delivered firewall, Web proxy, Zero Trust Proxy, NaaS integrations, and inspection services as highly available distributed systems using cloud engineering practices. We are now engineering a highly available distributed security fabric that brings it all together, Cisco Hypershield. Cisco Hypershield protects applications, devices and data across public and private data centers, clouds and physical locations - anywhere customers need it. Designed and built with AI in mind from the start, Hypershield enables organizations to achieve security outcomes beyond what has been possible with humans alone. Who You Are The management plane acts as the brains of Hypershield. We seek an innovative backend engineer interested in building security features of significance. You will develop novel features associated with managing Hypershield's security assets deployed by customers. Your work will bring together network events of significance, AI engines, the generation of security policies, administration, deployment, enforcement and orchestration of security policies. You will also work on featuresets that enrich the customer experience along this journey - features ranging from deployment, to configuration, monitoring, logging and storage. We are a small team driving the next evolution of security at Cisco. Typical responsibilities may include:
The ideal candidate for this role will be comfortable leading design discussions with other architects and engineers. They can present architecture designs and solutions to multiple teams across organizations, gathering feedback that will help us drive consensus and gain alignment. We need someone not afraid to be creative, and use innovative programming languages, technologies, and tools to drive groundbreaking new products. Minimum Qualifications for this Role:
