About The Job
As a Business Systems Manager you will lead and coach a team of Business Systems Analysts while guiding the team to implement technical solutions to keep internal systems efficient and support Practices and Firmwide Services.

The mission of the Business Systems team is to deliver scalable, integrated solutions that empower the Practices and Firmwide Services teams to achieve their goals, maximize revenue, and enhance operational efficiency. By streamlining processes and enhancing data accuracy, the team supports informed decision-making and operational excellence.

As the Business Systems Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful management of important department projects by providing strong leadership, coaching the team to success, and creating an environment where your team members can thrive and perform at their best.

Duties and Responsibilities (may include some or all of the below):
  • Team leadership and development: Lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Systems Analysts, ensuring each team member has clear goals and the resources they need to be successful. Provide ongoing feedback and career development, and coach the team in best practices for proper systems architecture.
  • Lead the Business Systems portfolio and related business operations. Provide business system support where needed. Partner closely with IT System Lead(s) to maintain, evolve, and introduce new business-related technologies.
  • Collaborate with IT in preparation and ongoing updates of multi-year technology roadmap for business-related systems.
  • Manage department projects: Oversee operational and directional aspects of key departmental processes, ensuring projects are completed effectively and align with team goals. Ensure projects are running smoothly, including new tool implementations.
  • Assist with technical solutions: Provide support and guidance in solving technical issues, leveraging your experience to assist the team in developing scalable, quality solutions. Current systems include, but are not limited to, VantagePoint, Dayforce, Airtable, Elevia, Spreasheet Server etc. and prospective systems will include Replicon, Concur and other software/tools.
  • Establish and improve procedures: Create and implement procedures that improve departmental efficiency and impact. Ensure these procedures align with Dudek's broader objectives and support the business operations.
  • Build test cases and organize User Acceptance Testing with various business partners
  • Drive prioritization and productivity: Work closely with the Business Systems Analysts, Project Managers, Practice Directors and Firmwide Services Leaders to balance work between team members, and prioritize initiatives to ensure goals are met within time and quality standards.
  • Internal case queue management: Work with the Business Systems Analysts to ensure that the internal Business Systems case queue is set up to provide the best support and effectively track resolutions.
  • Foster collaboration and effective communication: Work closely with stakeholders, promoting collaboration and ensuring that technical solutions and improvements meet operational needs.
  • Effectively communicate goals and changes, ensuring alignment across the organization.
  • Other special projects and assignments as required.

Minimum Requirements
  • Management experience: 3+ years of experience in managing a team, ideally in Business Systems or Finance. Lead a team of individuals of various experience levels responsible for important department projects.
  • Technical knowledge: 2+ years of experience as a Deltek VantagePoint, with a deep understanding of VantagePoint architecture and best practices.
  • Experience implementing, designing, maintaining and enhancing ERP and related financial systems & tool
  • Team development: Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop a team. Able to handle difficult management issues while maintaining a positive and productive team environment.
  • Strategic focus: Understanding of Dudek's longer-term vision, with the ability to align the team's work to strategic objectives. Establishes procedures that affect their department and ensures alignment with broader objectives.
  • Collaboration and communication: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders, influence outcomes, and ensure alignment across teams. Engages with and influences stakeholders on complex projects to achieve better outcomes.
  • Experience in fast-paced environment, highly driven with the ability to conduct multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Outstanding organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects, especially long-term.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by first day of employment

Working Conditions:
  • This job operates in a remote or office-based environment and this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc.
  • This job requires occasional project site visits-based outdoors which can include excessive noise, uneven walking surfaces, extreme weather, moving vehicles and equipment.

Proposed Salary Range: $121,000-$171,000 annually*

*Final agreed upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to an individual's related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
