Position Title: Packaging Operator
Wage: $19.50+ $2.00 Shift premium = $21.50 Shift: 2nd shift/ 12 hour shifts Hours: 3:54 PM - 4:06 AM; 2-2-3 Rotating Schedule Join our team as a Packaging Operator! In this role, you'll operate packaging machines, check product quality, and keep equipment and work areas clean. Manufacturing experience and basic computer skills are a plus. Packaging Operator Responsibilities: - Operate and monitor packaging machinery to ensure product quality - Enter work orders and item codes, weigh and label blocks - Box cheese and perform quality control checks - Palletize and move finished products to staging areas - Close work orders and record shipment information - Perform setup, calibration, and minor maintenance on equipment - Sanitize equipment and packaging areas per procedures Packaging Operator Requirements: - High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred - Experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably food manufacturing - Ability to 20-30lbs repetitively, flipping and lifting product above shoulder height and from waist down to floor level pallets - Strong operation control and monitoring skills - Basic math skills for weight measurement and counts - Ability to read and comprehend work-related documents and instructions - Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office - Forklift certified (training and certification provided internally) - Quality-focused with ability follow GMP requirements and food safety requirements QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
