Mercy South de Greeff Hospice House provides exceptional service to individuals and their families at the end of their lives. Our nurses provide comfort and support through compassionate care and meaningful interactions. With every interaction, we are dedicated to providing a superior experience to patients and families. Our coworkers bring high level End-of-Life care to patients of all social backgrounds, adult age groups and social dynamics. Working at the Hospice House provides our Mercy Hospice nurses the opportunity to connect and engage with their patients and families in a truly meaningful way.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)

Licensure: Current RN license in Missouri required. Must be a licensed driver.
Certifications: Possesses and maintains current BLS CPR certification.
Preferred Experience: Recent hospice or long term care experience preferred. Experience with issues related to death/dying and bereavement preferred. One year general nursing experience preferred.

Other: Complies with accepted professional standards and practice. Understands Hospice philosophy; principles related to death and dying and pain management. Has excellent observation, good nursing assessment and communication skills. Has excellent computer skills with the ability to provide good documentation within an electronic medical record and submits in a timely manner. Is self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision. Is flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligation and has ability to work within an interdisciplinary team.
