What you will enjoy doing*
- You will liaise between Linde and ADP to ensure accurate and timely tax filings and maintain POA and TPA as required by the jurisdictions for Multiple EINs
- Ensure accurate and timely filings for Training Fund, Modified
Business, and Payroll Preparation taxes - Review tax laws and provide guidance for compliant payroll tax policies. Perform system checks and UAT testing to ensure proper setup of tax updates, states, jurisdictions, limits, etc within the Ulti Pro System
- Advise Stakeholders on best practices and emerging issues related to payroll tax
- Serve as subject matter expert related to federal, state, and local payroll tax, as well as system testing
- Gather and Analyze data for withholding and unemployment tax audits, proposed legislation, and legal entity inquiries, assist in IRS and State audits
- You will conduct quarterly review of Federal, State, Unemployment and Local Tax
returns for accuracy making corrections where applicable - Reconcile year end tax forms to payroll system records and third party
tax filing records - Support problem resolutions for employees and business partners
- Resolve unusual issues, investigating their source to minimize or
eliminate future occurrences - You will coordinate, complete and review a broad range of complex
processing, operational, customer service, legal and/or accounting-related specialized duties in support of assigned area
- Ensure compliance with operational risk controls in accordance with Linde and regulatory standards/policies.
- Maintain Linde Internal control standards including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
- Also you will assist employees, team, and HR with tax related inquiries, as well assist with special projects and/or assignments within the
department in relation to payroll taxes, systems, and processes
What makes you great
- You have a Bachelor's degree in one of the related fields or equivalent experience
(i.e., Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields) - Minimum 3-5 years proven payroll tax, payroll generalist experience or
equivalent experience - Working knowledge and experience in payroll areas (i.e., US payroll,
international payroll, tax, and employee equity - Strong analytical, attention to detail, customer service,
problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills - Further, you have the ability to work well independently in a high-volume environment
- Proficient in Excel (i.e., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and other formulas). Ulti
Pro Payroll experience preferred
